Installation
Tips
The more exposure given to the tool, the more traffic you'll
generate - remove unnecessary banners/images from your site.
IMPORTANT: Remember to insert your URL in place of 'www.YourURL.com'
in the code
1. Do NOT alter the codes in ANY way (with the
exception of inserting your URL) - it is designed for
compatibility with all popular browsers
2. Ask your system administrator if the code is
permitted for your account - although rare, some accounts have
code restrictions
3. If you're totally new to inserting html
codes, search in your web page editor menu for "edit
source" or something similar. Once selected, you will see
the code/programming that makes up web sites. Copy the code from
your browser, paste the code where you want the tool to appear,
and click save.
4. When installing the code, click exactly
where you want the tool to appear. When you go to "edit
html", simply paste where highlighted
5. If the form does not appear correctly, try
installing it away from other tables, images or text
6. If you've tried everything and the code
doesn't turn out right, it may be your web page editor - some
editors automatically adjust the code. Try editing your page
with software that doesn't adjust the code automatically.

FAQ
Q. What Anti-Abuse Features are used?
Logging of submitter's IP address - if referrers abuse the tool
in any way, including repeated submissions and submitting
illegitimate friends, we notify relevant ISPs who will take
appropriate action. However, domain checking is incorporated,
and repeated submission of identical email addresses is rejected
by the scripts. Furthermore, if we suspect the webmaster hosting
the tool is deliberately submitting 'illegitimate friends'
(spamming), we will block their URL from using the scripts on
our servers.
Q. What if users spam "illegitimate
friends"?
Email recipients that do not know the referrer can forward the
email to consumerdebt@aol.com.
We will then notify the sender's ISP who holds responsibility
for the users conduct. If the "spammer" is found to be
the site's webmaster, their IP address is blocked from using
Tell-a-Friend's scripts on our servers.
Q. How do I center Tell-a-Friend?
Simply insert the tool into a pre-centered table.
Q. Who supplies the prizes?
Following use of Tell-a-Friend, you will be directed to the
company's site who is responsible for all licensing, legalities
and draw dates. Please contact them for details.
Q. What are the restrictions?

and abide by our Terms
of Service agreement - any site may
host the tool regardless of its content.
